Differences Between Culture, Race, And Class - 1546 Words

This paper will focus on the similarities and differences in cultures and how it relates to human resilience, struggles and faith. The purpose of this paper is to highlight the effects that culture, race, and class have on human behaviors and beliefs. The cross culture countries of analysis will be Guyana and Portugal which are situated at two opposite ends of the world. One major difference is Guyana, which is located in South America and Portugal in Southwestern Europe. Which makes this comparison even more compelling? With worlds so distant, one might expect to have fewer similarities. But as I began to categorize the similarities and difference on chart exhibit A, I was pleasantly surprised with the commonalities. First I developed a chart and compare the similarities and differences, which are listed above. After completing the chart, I recognized the vast journey myself and Claudio’s family travelled to seek a better future for their family. Therefore, I decided to calculate the distance travel from each country to get to the United States of America. The distant from Guyana to the United States is 5176.26 km= 3216.38 miles. If you travel with an airplane, it takes 5.74 hours to arrive. The distant from United States to Portugal is 7317.14 km= 4546.66 miles. If you travel with an airplane it takes 8.12 hours to arrive.
